The administration of new products is managed by the Buying Category Team.

Prior to the Purchase Order being issued, the Category Administrator will request the estimated wholesale pricing.

Effective April 1st 2026, Pricing Administration will calculate the wholesale basic price using LCBO’s cost-plus model, which includes:

• The supplier quote entered in NISS by the Supplier or Agent during product application

• Applicable freight costs, federal excise taxes and duties, and import duties

• LCBO’s wholesale mark-up, which varies by product type

• Cost of Service Differential (COSD), if applicable

If the quote is in a foreign currency, the exchange rate in effect at the time of pricing will be used.

Wholesale customers include grocery stores, convenience stores, duty-free operators, the Beer Store, hospitality licensees and LCBO Convenience Outlets (LCOs). The same wholesale pricing model is used for LCBO retail.

Effective June 22, 2026, all wholesale prices for wine will only be sold at or above Minimum Wholesale Prices (MWPs) (excludes Duty Free). LCBO Pricing Helpful Tools and Links

Please note a warehouse handling fee will be charged to suppliers on beer only if it handled through LCBO’s warehouses.
