LCBO is on a multi-year journey called Future State Modernization to improve our technology landscape and re-envision how we operate across the business and with our external partners.

On November 30, LCBO will transition the sourcing and awarding of our goods and services procurement opportunities to SAP Business Network (SBN), replacing Biddingo. Bonfire will continue to be used for the submission and evaluation of all bids. We will also introduce Icertis for contract negotiations (as applicable) and utilize Docusign for all signatures.

What’s changing?

• Effective November 30, all suppliers must register for SBN to participate in new LCBO procurement opportunities. The link will be available on this page when SBN launches, inviting suppliers to join LCBO’s supplier network on SBN by completing an onboarding questionnaire. Please note there is no requirement to complete this at launch – suppliers may choose to wait to onboard until a procurement opportunity is posted that they wish to participate in.

• LCBO will advertise all new opportunities on SBN from November 30 onwards. A notice will be posted to Biddingo redirecting suppliers to SBN for a brief period of time to ensure suppliers accustomed to monitoring Biddingo do not miss out on future opportunities.

• There will be no cost to the supplier to download documentation in SBN.

• Alongside the bid in Bonfire, suppliers will also be required to submit a simple response form in SBN. This allows LCBO to track the submission in both systems.

• Award notices will be posted in SBN. The successful bidder may be required to complete contract/agreement negotiations though LCBO’s Icertis platform as applicable, and all signatures will be executed in Docusign.

• Suppliers registered on LCBO’s network will be able to easily manage their profile information on SBN, such as banking information and contact details.

What’s not changing?

• Suppliers will continue to use Bonfire to submit bids for all LCBO procurement opportunities.

• All open/active opportunities as of November 30 will remain posted on Biddingo until they are awarded.

• LCBO’s use of SBN will continue to comply with public sector procurement directives and obligations to ensure a fair, objective, and transparent bidding process.

Training will be posted to this page in the coming weeks and will include more detailed information about the changes ahead. While many suppliers will be familiar with SBN as a leading platform for supplier collaboration, support materials will be provided to ensure they have all the information and/or resources required for a smooth transition.
