For seven days, LCBO’s approximately 10,000 OPSEU employees have been on strike. While LCBO continues to operate, it is not business as usual.

We are taking and fulfilling orders. Our selection of inventory ebbs and flows as we continue to navigate products in and out of our warehouses and depots, and we appreciate our customers understanding in selecting alternate products if required. We are doing our best to remain in line with our estimated delivery timelines and appreciate the patience of our retail and wholesale customers should their order take longer than anticipated due to high volumes.

On that note, we want to provide an update for our trade partners.

  • - Limited SKU availability

To ensure we were able to provide the best possible service to licensed establishments and LCBO Convenience Outlets during these uncertain times, we have provided a focused list of the most-ordered SKUs for licensees to select from. Again, we thank you for being flexible in selecting if something you typically order is not on the list.

  • - Inbound shipments

On July 5, we asked our freight forwarder partners to pause incoming shipments to prevent unnecessary congestion and protect our supply chain. We are collaborating daily with our transportation partners to assess the situation and review shipments on a case-by-case basis to prioritize products that will meet customers’ needs.

  • - Changes to Promotional Period 5

Please note that we will be cancelling all promotional programs currently scheduled for Period 5 (July 21 – August 17, 2024). Once normal business operations resume, we will assess the charges associated with Period 4 (June 23 – July 20, 2024) promotional programs.

We continue to navigate uncertainty and make the best decisions we can for our customers. We apologize for the impact of OPSEU's strike on all our customers and on our partners.

While we can’t predict how long the strike will last, we will keep you informed via our Doing business with LCBO website. Information regarding the status of negotiations between LCBO and OPSEU will continue to be posted to LCBONegotiations.com

Thank you.
