Through the LCBO’s Diversity & Inclusion strategy and the Spirit of Sustainability, we are committed to supporting a diverse and inclusive future for our business, partners, and customers, while making strides to address  racial issues and barriers faced by the BIPOC (Black People, Indigenous Peoples and People of Colour) community.

I am pleased to share the LCBO has become a signatory of the BlackNorth Initiative (BNI) CEO Pledge. As part of our continued efforts to champion diversity, we are committing our organization to specific actions and targets designed to create opportunities for BIPOC individuals through the support of BNI. It is our responsibility to enact meaningful change and take a collaborative approach with organizations who share our goals.

Led by the Canadian Council of Business Leaders, over 450 leading Canadian companies have signed the Pledge including beverage alcohol partners, charitable partners, and government agencies. As part of this commitment, we are also encouraging our partners to explore the BlackNorth Initiatives’ mission and sign the Pledge to create better representation for BIPOC individuals in the beverage alcohol industry.

This initiative is more than a signature. A number of goals under the Pledge are well underway with the establishment of new charitable partnerships to support our journey and our ongoing work with the Centre for Young Black Professionals.

We invite you to stand together with us to advance diversity and cultivate an inclusive beverage alcohol industry and opportunities for underrepresented individuals.

Thank you for everything that you do.
