Effective April 1, 2025, the Ontario government will be removing minimum retail prices (MRP) for all spirits products (including spirit-based ready-to-drink products), and pausing the scheduled 4.4% increase in the cost-of-service fee which is applied to all beer products sold at the LCBO and other licensed retailers.
On April 1, 2025, the MRP for cider and wine (including wine-based ready-to-drink products) will increase in accordance with Ontario Regulation 750/21 under the Liquor Licence and Control Act 2019, while MRP for beer (including malt-based ready-to-drink products) remains unchanged in accordance with Ontario Regulation 750/21. All impacted LCBO-listed products that fall below the revised minimum retail pricing will automatically have their retail prices adjusted for April 1, 2025.
