We’re pleased to share the following updates related to Mexico shipments:
Albatrans will serve as our Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier partner. They will be responsible for picking up all LTL orders in Mexico and consolidating them at their warehouse. Once sufficient volume is reached to form a full truckload, the shipment will be loaded and transferred to Charger Logistics for transport to Canada.
Charger Logistics will serve as our carrier partner for all Full Truckload (FTL) movements, including the consolidated LTL loads moving from Mexico to Canada.
Reminder: LTL vendors must use Bufete as their customs broker.
As communicated last year, and in alignment with the new Mexican customs law reform, when multiple purchase orders from different vendors are consolidated into a single full truckload, all shipments must be assigned to the same customs broker in order to clear the border. Therefore, all LTL vendors must be registered with Charger’s customs broker, Bufete. This is essential to avoid disruptions and ensure seamless consolidation. If a vendor uses a different broker, their freight cannot be included in the consolidation, resulting in delays and limiting our ability to efficiently build full truckloads.
Notes:
• Vendors shipping FTL may continue using their existing customs brokers
• Charger has already engaged Bufete, and outreach is underway to register applicable vendors.
