ODRP participation – self serve tool

Grocery stores licensed by the AGCO will be required to participate in the Ontario Deposit Return Program (ODRP) and accept empty containers. An exemption applies until January 2026 if the grocer is located within 5km of a Beer Store (TBS) as of September 3, 2024.

To help grocers prepare, we’ve developed a self serve tool which maps TBS locations as of September 3, 2024. The effective date of this change is October 31, 2024.

How to use the self-serve tool

1. Either search for your businesses address (using the magnifying glass) or use the zoom function on the map. Do not unselect any of the checked boxes.

2. If your business address is within the blue radius, you do not need to participate. If it is not in the blue radius, you are required to participate.
