How can I earn Aeroplan points at LCBO?

Aeroplan Members will be able to earn one (1) Aeroplan Point for every $4.00 spent* at LCBO Retail Locations, the lcbo.com website, the LCBO mobile application, and on VintagesShopOnline.com. Aeroplan Members are also able to earn bonus Aeroplan Points on certain promotional offers, as determined by the LCBO.

What kind of LCBO purchases earn Aeroplan Points?

Aeroplan Members can earn Aeroplan points for purchases made in LCBO retail stores, on LCBO.com, in-app using the LCBO App and on VintagesShopOnline.com.

You cannot earn Aeroplan Points on delivery fees, HST, container deposits (included in the purchase price), gift card purchases or charity donations.

Where can I earn points for LCBO purchases?

The Aeroplan Program is only available to Aeroplan Members who make qualifying purchases at LCBO Retail Locations, the lcbo.com website, the LCBO mobile application, and Vintages Shop Online. Aeroplan Members will not be able to earn Aeroplan Points for beverage alcohol purchases from LCBO Convenience Outlets, duty free stores, licensees or grocery partners.
 

Who is eligible to earn Aeroplan points?

The Aeroplan rewards program is only available to LCBO retail customers. Wholesale customers (i.e. licensees, grocery partners and agents) are not eligible to earn Aeroplan points for LCBO purchases.

Only transactions made for non-commercial purposes are eligible for earning Aeroplan Points. Transactions that are not eligible to earn Aeroplan Points include purchases made on behalf of LCBO Convenience Outlets or agency stores, purchases made by agents representing manufacturers/suppliers, purchases made by licensees, and purchases made on behalf of an end consumer facilitated through a third party on-demand delivery platform (each, an “Ineligible Purchase”).

How can I redeem Aeroplan points at the LCBO?

When shopping in-store, online on the LCBO.com website or on the mobile app, you can redeem Aeroplan points toward your purchase. Get $10 off your purchase for every 1,000 Aeroplan points redeemed. Aeroplan Members are also able to redeem points for LCBO gift cards, among many other redemption options, via the Aeroplan eStore.

Eligibility & Earning Points: 
To be eligible to earn Aeroplan points (“Aeroplan Points”) with the Liquor Control Board of Ontario (“LCBO”) you must be an Aeroplan member (“Aeroplan Member”) and have an Aeroplan account in good standing, all in accordance with Aeroplan’s Terms and Conditions (the “Aeroplan Program”)

Only transactions made at LCBO retail stores, the lcbo.com website, the LCBO mobile application, and on Vintages Shop Online are eligible for earning Aeroplan Points. Please visit lcbo.com to find your nearest LCBO retail store location (each, an “LCBO Retail Location”).

How to Earn Points
To earn Aeroplan Points, simply (i) present your Aeroplan Member card at the check-out when you make a purchase at an LCBO Retail Location or, (ii) if you are making a purchase on the lcbo.com website, LCBO mobile application, or the Vintages Shop Online website, add your Aeroplan Member card number to your Vintages Shop Online account profile and you will earn Aeroplan Points with each qualifying Vintages Shop Online purchase.

Purchases made at any LCBO Retail Location, online or in the LCBO application prior to (i) an individual’s enrolment in the Aeroplan Program, or, (ii) November 16, 2021 are not eligible for the accumulation of Aeroplan Points.

How to Redeem Points

Aeroplan Members with an account in good standing may redeem Aeroplan points to use, in whole or in part, against their purchase of eligible products and services online on the LCBO.com Website or LCBO Mobile Application and in an LCBO Retail Location. To be eligible to redeem Aeroplan oints, the Aeroplan Member redeeming the Aeroplan points must be the individual making the purchase.

To redeem Aeroplan points on the LCBO.com Website or LCBO Mobile Application, add your Aeroplan Member card number to your account profile, or enter it when viewing your cart or at checkout and expand the “Redeem points” section. Within the “Redeem points” section, click on the “Sign In” button to be re-directed to the Aeroplan website to complete the Account Authorization process. Upon successful authentication, you will be returned to the LCBO.com Website or LCBO Mobile Application to complete your transaction. If you are eligible to redeem points and have at least 1,000 Aeroplan points in your account, you will be able to select an Aeroplan points redemption amount from the drop-down menu in the second step of the check-out process to apply towards the total purchase price of the transaction.

To redeem Aeroplan points at an LCBO Retail Location, scan your physical or digital Aeroplan card during the purchase transaction. If the transaction is eligible for redemption, the LCBO customer service representative will offer the opportunity to redeem your Aeroplan points and ask for the amount you wish to redeem. You will be asked to show identification to validate that you are the Aeroplan Member identified on the Aeroplan Member card. Upon successful validation, the LCBO customer service representative will be able to process the redemption. 

Aeroplan points have the following redemption value: one thousand (1,000) Aeroplan points are equivalent to ten dollars ($10.00). Redemptions will be enabled in increments of one thousand (1,000) Aeroplan points or ten dollars ($10.00). All dollar values are noted in Canadian dollars. The LCBO and Aeroplan may modify from time to time the redemption value, redemption increment, or minimum or maximum redemption limits of Aeroplan points at any time without notice.

Aeroplan Members cannot earn Aeroplan points and redeem those Aeroplan points in the same transaction. Aeroplan points earned when making a purchase can only be used once they are issued to the Aeroplan Member’s account and only for a subsequent transaction. Aeroplan Members may use Aeroplan points only once per transaction. 

Aeroplan Members can redeem Aeroplan points only up to the total purchase price of a transaction, rounded down to the nearest $10.00 increment. Aeroplan points cannot be redeemed in amounts exceeding the total purchase price. For example, for a purchase with a total value of $25.95, the customer would be able to redeem a maximum of 2,000 points, or $20.00.

If at the time of order fulfilment there are insufficient Aeroplan points in the Aeroplan Member’s account to redeem the requested amount towards the purchase price, the LCBO will charge the requested amount to the customer’s additional method of payment (e.g., credit or debit card). If at the time of order fulfilment there is a systems issue affecting the redemption of Aeroplan points, the LCBO will charge the requested amount to the customer’s additional method of payment (e.g., credit or debit card).

Your credit or debit card will be authorized for the full transaction value. The Loyalty points will be applied when we process your order, and you’ll be charged any remaining balance to your card.

Returns

In the event of a return or exchange relating to a transaction that has resulted in an accrual of Aeroplan Points, any Aeroplan Points earned on that transaction will be automatically adjusted (whether or not the Aeroplan Card or Aeroplan Card number is presented at the time of return or exchange). Adjustments may be made to Base Points and any Aeroplan Points earned through Product Bonus Offers.  The final total of Aeroplan Points earned for your transaction will be available in your Aeroplan Member account .

In the event of a return where there was an Aeroplan redemption, any Aeroplan points debited from your Aeroplan account will be returned to the Aeroplan Member in the form of an LCBO gift card.

If Aeroplan points were used in whole or in part for a purchase, the following conditions will apply:

Cancellation Before Processing: If a purchase from LCBO.com or the LCBO Mobile Application is cancelled before the order has been processed due to lack of product availability or any other reason, no Aeroplan points will be deducted from the Aeroplan Member’s account.

Refunds After Processing: If part or all of a purchase is returned for a refund after the order has been processed and received by the customer, the LCBO will issue a gift card equivalent to the redemption value of any Aeroplan points used on the transaction, up to the value of the returned product. If the return value exceeds the value of the Aeroplan points redeemed, the remaining amount will be refunded via other payment methods, as required. Aeroplan points will not be returned to the Aeroplan Member’s account when product is returned for refund.

Adjustments (Errors) & Discrepancies
Aeroplan Points displayed on your transaction record at the time of purchase are estimates only and do not necessarily reflect the final amount of Aeroplan Points that will be issued to you. The LCBO reserves the right, in its discretion, to add, remove, make adjustments to, and/or correct any errors in, the amount of Aeroplan Points issued to Aeroplan Members, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice, including, without limitation, as a result of: (a) Aeroplan Points being erroneously earned or credited to your Aeroplan Member account; (b) issues with order fulfilment or product unavailability, for any reason; (c) issues with payment processing; and (d) Aeroplan Points earned at an incorrect, higher earn rate.

In the event of any discrepancy relating to Aeroplan Points earned at LCBO Retail Locations or through the lcbo.com website, LCBO mobile application, or Vintages Shop Online website, please contact LCBO Customer Care at 1-800-668-5226 or via hello_lcbo@lcbo.com. The LCBO must be notified within twelve (12) months of the date on which the transaction relating to the discrepancy occurred. Only those discrepancies that are accompanied by an original receipt will be considered for adjustment.

For eligible transactions in LCBO Retail Locations where the customer failed to present their physical or digital Aeroplan Member card at the time of purchase, the customer may request the applicable Aeroplan points by returning to the same LCBO Retail Location, only on the same day as the applicable transaction, with the original receipt and their Aeroplan Member Card. Otherwise, for eligible transactions made online on the LCBO.com website or in the mobile application, contact LCBO Customer Care at 1-800-668-5226 or via lcbocustomercare@lcbo.com  to make your request within twelve (12) months of the transaction.

The final total of Aeroplan Points earned for your transaction will be available in your Aeroplan Member account.

Base Points OfferEarn one (1) Aeroplan point for every $4.00 spent *(excluding delivery fees, taxes, container deposits, gift cards and charity donations) at LCBO Retail Locations, through the LCBO.com website, LCBO mobile application, or Vintages Shop Online (the “Base Points”). The total Aeroplan points earned will be rounded down to the nearest whole Aeroplan point.

Example: $18.90/$4.00 = 4.725, which will be rounded down to 4 Aeroplan points earned.

Bonus Points Offers – Products
Select products may, in the LCBO’s discretion, be available at LCBO Retail Locations, the lcbo.com website, and LCBO mobile application, with time-limited bonus offers (“Product Bonus Offers”). The amount of bonus Aeroplan Points earned per product and the duration of the Product Bonus Offers may vary and are subject to change by the LCBO, without notice. All Product Bonus Offers are applicable only while supplies last. Not all LCBO Retail Locations will feature the same in-store Product Bonus Offers.
